Women on Bikes SoCal

We believe that females of all ages, shapes and walks of life can benefit from riding a bike. We believe in the power of beauty to inspire. We believe style and fashion engaged wisely with passion can spark, encourage and revolutionize. We believe personally focused stories from a 360 degree approach – a well rounded view of the way the bicycle is positively affecting and effecting the lives of women and girls here in Southern California – makes for compelling reading.

The temperature has dipped as we debut this November/December issue, but just last week we photographed Long Beach’s Vice Mayor and Women on Bikes SoCal Spokeswoman Suja Lowenthal showing off Long Beach as a beautiful and usually sunny place place to discover by bike.

In this issue we have posts by both newbies to bike riding and seasoned riders, posts on rediscovering the bike as a fantastic fitness tool and inspiration for a mid life renaissance, the perfect accessory when you don’t want to pay for parking, and a beautiful preview of Shereef Moustafa’s ongoing bike portraiture in this issue’s The Artful bike.
